“This year’s grad ball theme is Crazy Rich Asian. Actually, we just wanted to play dress up and somehow feel that we could be crazy rich just for a night while we celebrate the efforts, the struggles and the success that we had throughout med school. It was a tough one indeed but despite the circumstances, we came through”, Sabal said.

A nurse by profession who wanted to pursue into Obstetrics and Gynecology for his residency training, the overall chairman cited that his experiences being a student leader have developed his skills and fullest potential as a whole. “Deciding to enroll finally in med school was definitely one for the books. I’ve given up the remaining years of my youth to pursue this childhood dream. It was joining the APMC-SN in 2016 and became one of the regional officers for the Visayas made a big difference on my medical journey. I have gained more confidence to represent MHAM through leadership while I uphold the values of a true Matias doctor. Medical clerkship is such a memorable and a crazy experience but it was bearable knowing that I have chosen the right people to help me get through this one”, he added.
